After six years in practice—tracing back to a tiny spare bedroom in the Bijlmer and treating hundreds of bodies along the way—I am taking a gentle, meaningful step forward.
Starting Thursday, November 5th, I will be holding space at Gezondheidscentrum / Huisartsenpraktijk Oostenburg every Thursday.
It has been quite a journey to get here.
After completing my Master’s in Psychology, I found myself walking two parallel paths. During the workweek, I climbed the corporate ladder. On weekends, I immersed myself in the landscape of classical Chinese medicine and helping my clients to find health and inner peace.
Balancing those two completely different worlds was exhausting at times. Yet no matter how fast the corporate world moved, the needles kept calling me back. When I graduated, I set up my first “bootleg” clinic right at home in that small Bijlmer bedroom. It was humble and simple, but effective. Since then, the practice has grown, deepened, and supported so many on their journey to better health.
Acupuncture and TCM as complementary medicine
In countries like Vietnam and China, there is no artificial divide between Eastern and Western healing. Modern medical hospitals naturally house integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine departments. A patient might receive diagnostic blood tests in the morning and an acupuncture treatment in the afternoon to settle their Qi and calm their nervous system.
Building bridges between these two perspectives has always been at the heart of my clinical work. I believe in honoring evidence-based care while keeping our roots planted firmly in holistic, ancient traditions that understand the body as an interconnected landscape rather than a machine with replaceable parts.
To me personally—and for the practice—going for this new chapter and opening a treatment room inside a modern GP healthcare center (huisartsenpraktijk) feels like a quiet, grounded acknowledgment that these two worlds belong together.
Acupuncture at Tonia Stieltjesplein 88
My primary practice continues as always, but adding Thursdays at Oostenburg allows me to offer an even more accessible sanctuary for care:
-
Ground Floor Accessibility: The new space is fully wheelchair accessible, including restrooms.
-
Location & Hours: Thursdays from 9:00 to 18:00 at Gezondheidscentrum Oostenburg.
Alongside this physical move, I have also launched a brand new website. Since you might have seen it, I hope you like it :).
If you live or work around Oostenburg, or if you simply need a quiet place to land on a Thursday, you are always welcome.
Thank you to every single person who has trusted my hands, needles, and presence over these past six years. This step exists because of you.
